It’s already the middle of April and summer is approaching.  How many people made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight or who realize that bikini season is almost here and you probably need to lose a few pounds?  

Gas Prices!

Are you noticing that gas prices are starting to climb? Yesterday I pulled into Sam’s Club at 8:00 a.m. to shop; while driving into the lot  the gas price sign said $2.17 and I needed gas. Usually I get gas on my way out, it keeps me from needing to to the restroom to wash my hands on the way in the store – don’t ask!

It may be time to reconsider my strategy regarding when to get gas. As I pulled up to the pump yesterday the price was no longer $2.17, it was $2.20. The attendant informed me that the price changes at 8:45 a.m. everyday, unfortunately for me the price change didn’t come out in favor of the gas buying public. He also informed me that a lady just demanded a rebate because of the price change. She had filled one car at $2.17, then went home and brought the other car, and of course the price changed so she felt Sam’s owed her the $2.17 price. Not sure why certain people feel like businesses don’t have the right to raise and lower prices.

Okay, so Tom did a little pouting when Devon selected Rory to win The Masters; Tom begrudingly decided to go with Jordan Spieth. Well, that worked our pretty well for Tom;-)

It’s time for the PGA Master’s! 

Tom loves sports, almost all sports, Devon not so much.

Three years ago when Tom and I first started our radio show the Master’s was approaching and Tom started talking about some of the players and telling me about the game and what a big deal it is in sports and I shocked the s**t out of Tom when I started to give statistics about Tiger and when he first won and other players that were also competing. Tom was shocked because he made an assumption that because I don’t like to watch football, basketball, hockey, etc. that I wouldn’t know anything about golf.  It was a fair assumption on his part but ever since then Tom likes to wager on PGA picks for the 4 big tournaments each year.   Now it’s time for the 2015 Master’s picks…..

A Song Stuck in Your Head

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head and it seems to run on a short loop?  I think everyone has had this happen, sometimes you know how it got there, maybe it was the song on the radio when your alarm got off or it’s part of a conversation with a friend and then you’re both trying to remember exactly what the words are.  The second is what happened to Tom and I recently.  I cannot remember exactly what the conversation was but Tom thought he was thinking of Winnie the Pooh, though he wasn’t, but then he couldn’t remember the exact words to Winnie the Pooh so he looked them up.  Now thanks to Tom I have Winnie the Pooh suck in my head!!!
